Ridge and Grip each come with a power bank. On the Grip it lasts five to six hours, on the Ridge around eight on the lowest setting. If you head out early and get back late, you need a second charge – and here it is, in 120 grams.

  • A second charge to swap in: flat one out, full one in, carry on
  • A power source of its own when you wear vest and gloves together
  • Backup for your phone via USB-A or USB-C

Run time depends on the garment, the heat setting and the outside temperature.

Output

  • Capacity: 5,000 mAh (18.5 Wh at 3.7V)
  • USB-A output: 5V / 2.1A
  • USB-C output: 5V / 2.0A, around 10W maximum combined
  • Charging input: USB-C, 5V / 2.0A

Protection and operation

  • Protection against overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuit and overheating, with automatic shut-off
  • Four-LED charge indicator
  • Discharging from −10 to 45 °C (14 to 113 °F), charging from 0 to 45 °C (32 to 113 °F)
  • No pass-through: do not charge and use it at the same time

Size and what's in the box

  • About 92 × 63 × 14 mm (3.6 × 2.5 × 0.6 in), around 120 g (4.2 oz)
  • Matte ABS/PC housing
  • In the box: power bank, USB-C charging cable, quick guide

Charge it before you head out, put it in the inside pocket, plug in the cable. When your first power bank is down to one LED, swap – it takes less than a minute.

  • Use only with heated apparel rated 5V and 2A.
  • Keep it dry – inside pocket, not on your belt.
  • Below −10 °C (14 °F), carry it close to your body, not in an outer pocket.

It charges over USB-C from an ordinary adapter. No dedicated charger, no special plug.

Run time

Your day outside lasts longer than one charge

The power bank in the Ridge and Grip box covers a good part of the day. Not every day, though. If you are up in the stand at five or out in the yard until knocking-off time, the afternoon gets cold again.

With a second power bank you just swap: flat one out, full one in – and the heat runs for as long again.

  • Grip – heated gloves 5–6 hrs → 10–12 hrs
  • Ridge – heated vest, lowest setting about 8 hrs → about 16 hrs

Guide values based on the Ridge and Grip specs. Cold, heat setting and garment all change the run time.

Why 5V / 2A

Heated apparel doesn't need the biggest power bank. It needs the right one

The heating elements in the vest and gloves are designed for 5V and 2A. If a power bank delivers less current, the heated panel only gets lukewarm. Higher values are no bonus either – they can damage the heating elements.

This one delivers 5V at 2.1A on USB-A. At 5,000 mAh it stays small enough not to bulge in the inside pocket. Two small ones to swap carry better than one brick dragging on your vest all day.

  • 5,000 mAh 18.5 Wh at 3.7V
  • 5V / 2.1A on USB-A – for heated apparel
  • USB-C charging and phone, 5V / 2.0A
  • around 120 g about 92 × 63 × 14 mm (4.2 oz)
  • 4 LEDs charge level at a glance
  • Auto shut-off on short circuit, overcurrent, overvoltage and overheating

Made for

Built for Ridge and Grip

Both run on USB at 5V and 2A – exactly what this power bank delivers. With a second charge in your pocket, the vest or gloves stay warm for as long again.

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes, a 5,000 mAh one each. This is the second one: to swap in when the day runs long, or as a separate power source when you wear the vest and gloves together.

  • Around five to six hours with the Grip, around eight hours on the lowest setting with the Ridge. Exactly how long depends on the heat setting and the outside temperature – less in hard frost.

  • If the garment runs on USB at 5V and 2A, yes. If the label shows a different value, don't use it for that.

  • Yes, via USB-A or USB-C at 5V. It does not fast-charge – it isn't built for that.

  • It discharges from −10 to 45 °C (14 to 113 °F). When it gets colder, carry it in an inside pocket close to your body. Charge only between 0 and 45 °C (32 to 113 °F).

  • No. It has no pass-through function – charge first, then use.
